Spotlight On: Designer Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey is a Manhattan-based designer known for her intellectual, arts-and-crafts aesthetic.

A former gallery owner by trade, with a sculpture degree under her belt, Rachel Comey approaches her work with an artist's eye. Her designs are always born from an unexpected point of view: clever with a nod to classic.

Her design process is driven by the relationship between materials and the diverse array of women who wear her clothes. In addition to professional models, Comey often uses artists, dancers and businesswomen in her runway shows.

Why we selected her for our boutique: We like to offer American designers and Comey's designs are easy to mix and style and look great on every body type. We love her use of unique fabrics, bold colors and textures. This season, we will be carrying some of her fun, acrylic earrings as well.
