In Soft Focus… The Blumarine Spring Summer 2016 collection conveys a palpable desire for sweetness. It sparkles, without missing concreteness, far away from schemes and impositions.
It sparkles, without missing concreteness.
The protagonist of the collection is a woman who dresses to be herself, not to appear.
Realism and glamour meet in a continuous counterpoint of shiny and matte, of sturdy and delicate. The airy and elongated silhouette are defined in movement.
Fabrics give palpability to the idea of contrast. Pictorial melanges of delicate pastels are lit by strong dashes of colors. Embroideries flash luminously over the surfaces.
About the Designer…
In 1977, designer Anna Molinari and her late husband, Gianopaolo Tarabini, started Blumarine in Carpi, Italy, where the company still operates today. Blumarine now runs under Blufin SpA, which also encompasses the other labels Miss Blumarine (for pre-teens), Blugirl (for teenagers), and the luxury and “timeless” brand Anna Molinari. Blumarine still remains the core brand of the group, and its signature pieces include the Blumarine T-shirt with Swarovski crystals and a fur trim cardigan.
