Bonhams Hearts and Arrows Diamond Collection $2.6M
A collection of flawless hearts and arrows diamonds achieved more than $2.6 million at Bonhams Fine Jewelry and Jadeite auction at its Hong Kong location. The top lot was a collection of 16 D color, flawless, internally flawless, brilliant-cut diamonds. Hearts and Arrows diamonds are a defined set of eight hearts and eight arrows in a round diamond.
Each of these beautiful gemstones are accompanied by a GIA report that certifies their authenticity. The weight of the stones range from 1.16 to 4.49 carats, with a total weight of 39.98.
Bonhams reported that diamonds and jade were among the top lots during the November 26 sale. “It is testament to the strength of the Asian market for rare items such the flawless collection of Hearts and Arrows diamonds and the Marina B jewels,” said Graeme Thompson, director of Jewelry at Bonhams Asia. “The sale also excelled in the jadeite and gemstone categories.”

An emerald and diamond cluster ring featuring a cushion-shaped, 10.09 carat emerald surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds that achieved $933,588.
A translucent bright green jadeite bangle that is suffused with green streaks that achieved $670,532.
A Marina B sapphire and diamond “Amelia” necklace and earring suite that achieved $624,111. The beautiful necklace is adorned with 12 cushion shaped sapphires, with the largest weighing 15.95 carats, within pear and brilliant-cut diamond surrounds and spaced by marquise and pear-shaped diamonds. A pair of earrings accompanies the necklace. The total diamond carat weight is 92.30 and total weight of sapphires is 104.81
