GIA Exhibit Brings Gemstones To Life
GIA exhibit brings photos to life. “The Beauty of Science: Gems & Gemology” celebrates 80 years showcasing jewelry, gems, minerals, and sculptures featured in Gems & Gemology magazine over the years.
It will feature “Artistry of Harold & Erica Van Pelt” with 15 cases and more than 20 pieces displayed alongside their photographs. These pieces are on loan from various organizations and individuals, which includes Smithsonian Institution, Harold and Erica Van pelt, and Pala International.
A highlight includes The Maharaja of Indore necklace and a Jean Schlumberger (for Tiffany & Co.) Colombian emerald and diamond necklace with matching earrings.
It will open on May 19 at the GIA Museum in Carlsbad, California and will remain on display through December.
