The largest single crystal of gold weighs 217.78 grams, and is a size of a golf ball. The estimated value is $10,000 but may be able to get as much as $1.5 million due to its large size.

Scientists don’t know much about the history of this larger than life object that was found in Venezuela. It was given to scientists by an anonymous collector to the lab in order to study it in further detail. The collector had four gold objects that he handed over to the lab to study, but only one turned out to be a single crystal.
