Omega Spectre Seamaster Aqua Terra
James Bond, “shaken, not stirred”, debonair, daring, sophisticated and always calm and collected will be appearing in his 26th movie at the end of October of this year. Since “GoldenEye” in 1995, Omega has firmly been on 007’s wrist for nearly two decades and been relied on to aid Bond in various situations. Omega’s inspiration for the new timepiece comes from the Bond family coat of arms and has been integrated in a beautifully colored dark blue dial.
The Omega Seamaster Spectre Aquaterra 41.5mm features a black background date display with bold white numerals shown according to the day in a small date aperture located at the 3 o’clock position. Another addition to the timepiece is the addition of a yellow second hand that features a coat of arms. Continuing the yellow colored theme, you will also find the minute ring to have yellow numerals as well as “Seamster” and “> 15,007 gauss” writing on the dial.
Omega decided to make the timepiece limited to 15,007 pieces, which is a heft number, but Omega has proven that James Bond themed watches are extremely popular and will sell out fairly quickly. The 41.5mm Aqua Terra has a beautiful casebook where you can see a transparent sapphire crystal with a James Bond bullet in the middle. This protects the new Co-Axial 8507 calibre that can pass tests to protect it from > 15,000 gauss, making it a perfect timepiece for tech lovers or those that use a lot of electronics on a daily basis. In addition to the anti magnetism, the watch is water resistant up to 150meters.
The watch will make you look like you are dressed to kill, but unfortunately does not come with all the extra bells and whistles such as an embedded laser, remote bomb detonator and other toys that are found in the movie. Now available at Diamond Dream Fine Jewelers in Bernardsville, New Jersey.
