Baselworld 2015 will capture the brilliance of a a full moon by introducing an innovative timepiece that is the third in Omega’s selection of solid ceramic timepieces. The 44.25mm brushed and polished white ceramic casebody, and a polished white ceramic bezel with a matt chromium nitride tachymeter scale and polished ceramic pushers.
The white side of the moon has a white zirconium oxide ceramic dial that displays 18k white gold hour hands and applied index. The tip of the central chronograph second hand is red and matches the color of the name of the family printed on the center of the dial.
Omega uses an innovative process when creating the timepiece. It beings as raw ceramic powder, and then pressed into a specific shape of the casebody. After this they are sintered until they shrink to their final size. Finally, the cases are machined with diamond tools to achieve the eye catching edges and grooves of the casebody.
A self-winding chronograph movement, the Omega 9300 with column wheel mechanism and Co-Axial Escapement for greater precision, stability and durability of the movement.
