Worlds Most Expensive Doughnut Has Edible Diamonds
To celebrate National Doughnut Week, Krispy Kreme has created the worlds most expensive doughnut, which comes at a 1674.50 price tag.
The doughnut to rule all doughnuts was unveiled in Selfridges’ Oxford Street store and presented as a prize to a make up artist from London.
The deluxe gold doughnut took three days to assemble. It is filled with 2002 Dom Perignon vintage chmapagne jelly, raspberry and Chateau d’Yquem creme and is topped with a passion fruit glaze, edible 24ct gold leaf, handmade gold-dusted Belgian white chocolate lotus flowers, blossoms, ivy and butterflies, and to top it all off, edible diamonds.
This delicacy sits on top of a Krispy Kreme cocktail made from raspberry and passion fruit syrup, 500 year old Courvoisier de L’Espirit Cognac and topped with 2002 Dom Perignon.

Unfortunately, this masterpiece is not for sale, but there is a more budget friendly version available from Selfridges in Lodon or Birmingham.
